Similarities :
The similarities beetween these four water based sports: dragon boat racing , water sking , sailing , kayacking are that they take place on water. They invole some forms of floatable craft. They are enjoyble to do and all have physical and health benefits. Furthermore, they can be used to practise rescue situation. It can be great leisure activity also. In addition, they are adventurous sports. They can be done by most people; young or old.
Differences
The differences between these sports are numerous:
· Dragon Boat Racing requires more rowers and participants. It involves a lot of teamwork and requires coordination and equipment such as 20 paddles. In Hong Kong and China, the race will only perform in April and June.
· Water Skiing is different in terms of that it is more of a personal enjoyment adventurous activity. It doesn’t require as much team work as the other activities. It doesn’t need a lot skills either.
· Kayaking is a sport which focus more for personal enjoyment than team work. The team work is not needed that much. It also asks for only two members depending on the boat that is chosen.
· Sailing is a sport that needs a lot coordination and team work. I think it is more about that than personal enjoyment and satisfaction. It also requires different boats.
